First Congregational-UCC, Lee Center, actively supports and is involved in many outreach programs, locally and globally through the broader church. Here are just a few of the ministries and outreach efforts we are involved with, either through direct participation or financial contributions and special offerings:
- Community Church
Council: Along with five other local churches, we
participate in the annual packing and distribution of Easter and
Christmas Baskets, as well as monthly meal deliveries
- Our Churches Wider Mission:
Provides funding for the work
of UCC Conference and National ministries in support of the life and
work of the local church and its members.
- One Great
Hour of Sharing:
Helps to support work with local, national, and international
partners to provide support to health, education, refugee,
agricultural, and emergency relief initiatives in 138 countries.
- World Day of
Prayer
- Operation Shoebox:
Sending "care packages"
to troops deployed overseas
- Operation Christmas Child:
Sending boxes of necessities (including a toy!) to needy kids
around the world at Christmas time
- Church World Service CROP WALK
